Happy 4th Birthday Will!

It seems like it was just yesterday that Will was born and since that day he has filled our hearts with joy, an abundance of joy! A little boy that finds joy in the smallest of things. A spirited boy who loves superheroes, cars, trucks and all things boy. A sweet boy who will walk in the room and say "I love you" just because and just when you need it.

Happy Birthday Will! We love you!

The Road Not Taken....

Every now and again Kane and I go for a walk just the two of us and this is our path, it always reminds me of the poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost. It is our path our time together where I think, about so many things and Kane well he just trots along and enjoys his walk... he is the best walking partner.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

I am very tempted to put up a few outdoor holiday decorations for Will's entertainment. I just can't bear to put up any decorations in the house yet, this is a bit too early if you ask me.
We usually put our tree up around Thanksgiving weekend.

A boy and his dog...

I have posted this poem before and every time I capture moments like this it makes me think of this poem. I hope you enjoy it!

A Boy and His Dog

A boy and his dog make a glorious pair:
No better friendship is found anywhere,
For they talk and they walk and they run and they play,

Spending time with Daddy...

Will couldn't get enough time with his Dad this weekend. Last week hubby was away for a business trip so Will was delighted to have his Dad home. Welcome home Daddy!

Let's talk turkey...

Well actually let's talk dessert. With Thanksgiving less than two weeks away I am already craving my favorite dessert, Pumpkin Cheesecake with a gingersnap crust! You can find a recipe HERE. (OMG doesn't that pie look good, I don't think I can wait until Thanksgiving!)

Just leafing around...

First get your yard tools, and yeah a shovel works too!

Start making the piles for some serious fun!

Make the biggest leaf pile you can!

Now jump in that really big pile you worked so hard on!

Take a break and do some daydreaming!

Relax some more and then do it all over again and again until your little heart is content!

Only half of our leaves have fallen down so hopefully we can do this again before it is bitter cold outside. Will and I also made "leaf angels", did you know it works with leaves too?
